She yawned, rolling onto her back as she listened to the constant yapping coming from her Boxer puppy, Clive. He had been barking non-stop for the last half-an-hour, his yaps shrill and unpenetrable by sleep, yet her parents hadn't bellowed at him to quieten down. Honey hesitated, her pale blue eyes staring into the darkness of her bedroom, her heart slowly beating louder than the silence.
